Silver Linings Are Inside Of You
Today while I was walking in the hot summer sun, just a stroll to pick up some fish and bread to feed the masses here, I came upon a woman leaning on a parking meter.
At the same moment, I caught her eye and smiled as an SUV pulled up just shy of the curb.
The woman looked at me and said, “Could you please help me get to my Uber?”
I took her arm and helped stabilize her unsteady gait and we walked slowly towards her chariot.
I eased her off the curb, opened the door for her, and then ran off with her groceries.
No….
I helped her into the back of the SUV and placed her groceries on the seat next to her.
She smiled warmly at me and she said, “Young man, your parents raised you right.”
I laughed and said, “Thanks, they did, and I appreciate you calling me a young man.”
She replied, “You can be anything you want”.
YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT.
The day has been filled with strong emotions and an open heart and mind. One of those days where everything feels clear and connected. Wherever you look.
I hope you all have days like this and when you do you make thanks and cherish them with all your being.
