Been many times I have seen Ben Ottewell play either with Gomez or as a duo or solo.
He’s a great songwriter and guitarist with a singular voice.
Years ago two young women at Byron Bays Bluesfest slapped a camera in my face and said, “ YOU’RE THE GUY FROM GOMEZ!!!!”
We were both beardless at the time, had similar glasses, and if you were cross-eyed on pills you might think I was THE GUY FROM GOMEZ.
They told me to say something into the camera.
“I am not the guy from GOMEZ”, I laughed.
They were not convinced so we rushed away before they caught my American accent.
Enjoy….and if Ben or Gomez (PLEASE) get to your town …..GO!
