My relationship with the I-Ching goes back 50 years. It’s not something I treat lightly or visit with a rigid regularity.
With the movement from Summer to Fall, just two weeks ago, I needed a view into the season ahead. What I felt and asked is summed up in the Hexagram above. I found comfort in these lines and the interpretation.
We need structure in these times of limitations. Self imposed, or imposed by something else, there is a need. Not for rigdity, but for a time being, for success in the future.
My future? Our future?
There is an old Zen proverb that says: "Hell, also, is a place to live in." The message is clear: be of good cheer, because without it you are sure to fail.
I think my off-the-wall, one step too far humour will keep me sane during these times of deep insanity. My partnership, my love, my soulful connection with Tina will keep me grounded as we meander past the 6 year mark.
Things shift. Everything changes. We all adapt with love.
Today. Easter. Another full moon
No speaking in tongues. No rolling away the stone. Sunrise comes a little earlier today as we put those longer Summer evenings behind us.
Change of seasons, guided by a new depth in meditation. A visit with my plant medicine spirit, whom I have not been with in over three years. Some debris is being cleared away, and a level of strength and containment is needed. Slowing down but certainly not stopping.
And I will not stop loving, smiling, laughing and being here now. What else is there? Feel free to join me in beating the bad news with good news within our souls and our hearts. We have to control the horizontal and the vertical of how we feel and maintain our sanity while everything around us breaks apart.
