These are the things that cause my brain to be busy and filled with thoughts
That is the thing, they are mostly about intellectual and curious thought
Pondering and following the news
Falling into rabbit holes of reels online
The digital feed is endless
Do I need a break from this chatter?
Am I too sensitive or does it make me numb?
Can you be too sensitive?
Of course, all those questions are in the head
Although the news does tear open my heart
For the planet and for our brothers and sisters I do not even know
Ohio, I know people there
Syria and Turkey, are strangers all, but all part of this human web
Earthly distractions or factoids of diversion
Little I can do but send out healing rhythms, beat the drum, connect with it all
My heart breaks, my heart hurts
Not despair
Feelings
I know it all comes back to care, connection, and love
This earthly community connected like never before
Weeping today, laughing tomorrow
