It’s not worth arguing with MAGA. That cult is a symptom of a bigger problem we have, not just in America but on this planet. Oligarchs and criminals are doing more than just the infected Orange Julius character is attempting in America. This is not about one country.

Pulling back from Facebook and social media has helped my mental health. I do have a few MAGA people in my life whom I still try to influence. Really, there are some battles not worth fighting.
Or in this case, I poked the bear. My conversation with this relative dates back well before November 5th, 2024. We went back and forth about politics, but I was really preaching to someone who had already joined the cult, drunk the Kool-Aid.
Just to let you know, I am not really proud of some of the remarks I made here. I could have been kinder, but even I get angry and upset at what I hear and forget to breathe before I react.
Please, all of us, breathe before we react. Breathe-Listen-Talk. It’s a good mantra. I am trying.
The Private Chat On Instagram-October 2025

For a bit of background, this relative and I had conversed during the last US Presidential campaign. She told me that she did not think Project 2025 was a ‘real’ document of intention. She came back with many FOX News talking points that are not factual.
Our conversations were mostly civil.
In the past week, I sent X a message and some news on ICE activities and this joke pic of Rubio and Trump. My question was simple, and I was curious.
Damn it, curiosity killed this Leo.
Me: “So, X, how do you feel about what is going on in America now with the administration?”
X: “I am happy with what is happening and what the President is doing.”
Me: “OK, just wanted to check in and see if anything had changed after 7 months. Enjoy the fascism!”
I thought that would be the end of it because in the past, we had agreed to disagree. But no, I got this long-winded reply.
X: Enjoy the fascism? (rolling eyes emoji). I.m trying to reduce toxicity and negativity in my life. It’s like watching lunatics celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death. It’s disturbing and exhausting.
Like I say, Trump could cure cancer and the liberals would still hate him. It’s a serious sickness going on and I want to focus on all the good.
When a president is actually getting work done, mistakes are going to happen. The last administration did ZERO! So Trump is working his ass off non stop. Yes, maybe an illegal that didn’t commit a super serious crime except coming here ILLEGALLY will get picked up
So what??
Can I hop on a plane, fly to your country, no paers, then be taken care of (meals, housing, healthcare, cell phones, education, etc) taken care of better than your own people and you’d be OK with that. No-of course not! Because it’s a crime. Peace.

No one complained when Obama and Biden were deporting people. Not a peep! They had detention centers and I know you know the images of how the people were treated there. At least the detention centers under Trump, people are given 3 meals a day. They are given a warm bed, a warm climate instead of being out in the streets in a tent in the extreme heat or the cold. They also have medical and dental care. List goes on and on. Done

X: Hoping the worst for someone-whoa! Yeah, I don’t do that for people and I would never wish ill on any President. That’s insane behaviour and a really unhealthy way of thinking. The left care more about any other group of people but their very own. It’s mental. People need to start seeking help for TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). It seems to be consuming their lives.

Have you seen the protesters over the years? They are all masked, but that’s OK of course. And it’s OK with all of the harm, injury and destruction they have done. They have zero respect for authority. A lot of these agents are masked to protect their families because people are spitting in their faces.
Compare what happened in the country after George Floyd to what happened here after Charlie Kirk died. You live in Australia now. Just enjoy it. Be happy.

Trump does not answer questions from anyone in the press whom he dislikes. He calls his enemies names and berates them. He does not answer their questions because he disagrees with them.
The videos are all there of his constant lying and for the life of me I don’t know how MAGA do not see the reality. If you do not think he lies, then you are brainwashed, and I am sorry for you and his followers who may some day… as many are now…starting to see this is not the America REAL Americans who believe in the Constitution want to live in.

This is a snapshot of what I am sure many people are dealing with. As I said, I am not proud of being dragged down to street fighting for human rights. I must work harder to avoid certain barbs. I am human and will continue to be so—learning and loving.
