6-Redwoods are sacred and majestic. Hundreds of acres of redwoods were returned to a coalition of native tribes this year in Mendocino County, California. The forest has been renamed Tc’ih-Leh-Dun, which means ‘fish run place’ in the Sinkyone language. This is an act of cultural empowerment and indigenous resilience.
Renaming this forest ensures it is known as a sacred place and that there was a language and a people here long before now.

8-Alexander Govor, a Russian mega-entrepreneur has bought the McDonald’s chain of restaurants in Russia and has rebranded them. The logo represents two French fries and a burger on a green background. Sure, let me light up a joint and see if I see that.
