Yes, a picture is worth 10 million words, and the recent writings and musings on my Substack page have made me throw up a wee bit in my mouth. The world is like that these days. You are not alone when your heart and soul hurt.

Let’s get away from the news of the blues that we are living through.
Was wandering around yesterday, waiting for my partner to complete a visit with her GP…her MD…her local witch doctor and stumbled upon a beautiful garden. Hedgeley Dene Gardens is in the suburb of Malvern, Victoria.
According to their website no weddings or photography is allowed. I guess I broke the law.
Came across some wonderfully proud and fearless Magpies.
Did you know these black and white birds mate for life and live and love for 25-30 years?
They also remember over 100 human faces.
These birds did not know me but they were cool and posed for illegal close ups.
Near my home in St Kilda I talk to our local magpies. They don’t fly off and we meet each other as friends.
They truly do know it is me.
Magpies are ace.
Magpies make me smile.
It’s all black and white…and they have wonderful songs. Have a listen below!

Speaking of Magpies, Tina and I are off to see an AFL Match tomorrow, the 16th of April. The Mighty Magpies vs. The Sad Carlton Blues.
I have never heard the term ‘wandering-style cocktail food’. My imagination runs wild.
