And what an assortment it is.
Ian Dury was quite a gig at The Bottom Line in NYC around 1978. This was one of my favourite clubs back in the day.

Ice Cream Hands
Icehouse- I was at Frankie’s Pizza in Sydney one evening and went outside to have a smoke. Was talking to these youngsters about their vapes and I handed them a joint. One of them was neighbours with Iva Davies, the lead singer of Icehouse and was mates with his son. We chat for a bit and he says I look like Iva.
I took the joint back from him.
How I miss Frankie’s Fun Room!
Iguanas-Only ever seen them in their hometown of N’awlins. Never heard of them, well fix that, will ya.
Ike (and Tina) Turner
Illya Szwec’s Groove Depot
Imelda May
Immigrant Union
India Arie
Indigo Girls
Inner Circle
INXS-Lucky enough to see them at their peak and one very special show at The Manly Hotel in 1985. I pulled into the drive-thru bottle-o and heard some loud reggae coming out of the venue in the afternoon.
I asked the attendant who was playing and he said it’s the crew for the band tonight. The crew? I asked him what band was playing that evening and he said, “I can’t tell you.” We continued chatting and he said just so you know it’s a secret show and INXS is playing and it will be announced on the radio soon.
It was a hot, sweaty night and too much fun.
Iris Dement
Irma Thomas-Lincoln Centre at some free thing and down in Louisiana.
Irish Mythen
Irish Rovers-The Unicorn Song. Yeah, it reminds me of a good friend I only see in my dreams now. Saw them at a folk festival back in the day.
Irreversible Entanglements
Iron and Wine-AKA Sam Beam at The Manning Bar in Sydney 2008. I have no other memory of this show whether it was good, bad or whatever.
Isobel Paipadjerook
It's A Beautiful Day- They were supporting the band Renaissance at The Academy Of Music in New York. I am not sure who I went with, why I went, or what was going on. Sometimes we went to The Academy to hang out in the lounge and get up to mischief.
Ivan Neville
See you when I get to the “J” artists. That is going to be one long list, I can tell you now.
