Greetings from St. Kilda, Victoria. Australia. Planet Earth.
More to say on all of that as my body and soul reconnect.
Jetlag is like a psychedelic that was manufactured and then the scientists realized it was really not much fun for anyone.
Unless you like that sort of discombobulated thing.
Where am I?
Meanwhile here is the best-est music I have discovered this month.
Album Of The Month
No Photographs -Workhorse-This is a project of Kaurna Land/Adelaide-based musician Harriet Fraser-Barbour. Atmospheric, layered with pedal steel and vocals reminded you of Hope Sandoval. Dreamy Americana to take you across any desert from the Mojave to the Simpson. Stunning debut under the Workhorse moniker.
Check these 2 out too! Trust me….
Microcosmos-Lou Turner-Stunning, yet simple, meditation on many bits and pieces of life by the Nashville-based Turner. Warmly produced, like she is singing right on the couch next to you, this record is bound to grow on you with repeated listens.
The Misfit-Rhett Miller-Old 97’s frontman takes us on a dreamy trip through many genres of music. This is a record that gives you a surprise at every turn. It’s like taking a bit into a weird, new wonderful fruit as each track explodes with a new taste sensation. Enjoy…and this song “Follow You Home” sounds like Tom Petty.
See ya all soon.
