The travels continue and the music listening has been decreased a bit but still have enough new music to massage your ears.

Here are some snaps from along the way and the July 2022 playlist to help you uncover some new artists or some old artists with their latest music.
Without further ado and a very little surprise, let’s start with the 2 albums of the month
Tedeschi Trucks Band-I Am The Moon-Part II and Part III-Ascension And The Fall This 4 part collection of 4 albums and 4 films is the TTB at the height of their powers. More to come soon on their concerts, but simply, if you have the chance to see them on this tour or anytime make sure you do. Derek and Susan and their traveling circus of musical stars are something to behold.
Watch all 3 of the films on their site and links below to the last 2.
Blackie and The Rodeo Kings-O Glory-This is one of my favourite bands from Canada. The music written during the pandemic is filled with heart, soul, politics, and beautiful lyrics and melodies. Check it out.
Hank Williams Jr.-Rich White Honky Blues-Hank has put out dozens of records but this may be the darling of them all. This is a blues record produced by Dan Auerbach.
We get some Hill Country Blues players like Kenny Brown, Eric Deaton, Paul Jones, and Kinney Kimbrough. This is a project that seems to revitalize the redneck Mr. Williams.
“If you wanted to play this kind of music, you couldn’t have better players,” Dan Auerbach says. “The first time I ever saw Hank Jr. on TV, I was a kid raised on Robert Johnson and Hank Williams, Sr. records, and those things came through so clearly watching him. So, I tried to assemble the right parts to just sit in that piece of who he is.”
Heading up-state NY today….
And maybe it's the time of year
Yes, and maybe it's the time of man
And I don't know who I am
But life is for learning
We are stardust, we are golden
We are billion-year-old carbon
And we got to get ourselves
Back to the garden
Did I mention it was hot here? Oh, baby….
Enjoy!
