Concert For Vito Portolesi
Marrickville Bowling Club
15 October 2018
The Blues and Music Community, players and punters, came together for a musical farewell for Vito this past Monday.
The Bowlo was packed out and it was good to see friends, musicians, and fans come along to pay tribute to this great bass man.
Vito, as you may know, was a founding member of The Mighty Reapers, and has been playing alongside Continental Robert Susz and (amongst others) for some time now around these parts.
Based on the turnout, he was well-loved and well-respected, and he will be missed. Vale Vito.
Some of the many players on the night included:
Sally King
Jenny Marie Lang
Pat Powell
Rob Woolf
Lachy and Clayton Doley
Illya Szwec
Antero Ceschin
Continental Robert
Adam Pringle
George Rigatos
Fran Liddle
Taya Chani
And a hell of a lot moreā¦
A few tears, a few laughs and a few bars of blues.
