Started with “A” Bands back in May 2022….finally getting to the second letter of the Alphabet. The list will continue to grow as my music-seeking days are far from over.
Names in BOLD I have seen multiple times.
BB King- Quite a few times including his last stop in Australia and another tour with U2.
B-52s-Supporting the Talking Heads in Central Park at Dr. Pepper Music Festival 1979 and Roseland Ballroom where everyone DID THE ROCK LOBSTER!
Babe Rainbow
Baby Animals
Bachman Turner Overdrive
Back Door Slam
Backsliders
Bad Company-One of many concerts I saw at The Wollman Skating Rink at Central Park in 1974. I had a small tape recorder with me and was very close to the stage, so the souvenier of this gig was with me for some time.
During the encore of “Rock Me Baby’, they were joined by Jimmy Page.
Bad Manners
The Badloves
Badly Drawn Boy
Bamboos
The Band-Bob Dylan and The Band 31 January 1974 Madison Square Garden. This was my only chance to see The Band before they broke up.

Ben Folds
Ben Harper
Ben Kweller

Big Audio Dynamite-Selina’s Coogee Bay Hotel, NSW, Australia…..I was up all night and walked back to the city and had to work in the morning. Got to the office and fell asleep on my boss’s couch until the sun came up. Great gig and a lot of dancing.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Big Bill Morganfield
Big Chief Bo Dollis
Big Joe Turner-Saw Big Joe a number of times at Tramps in NYC, a small club downtown. One evening between sets, with Big Joe on crutches, he was stumbling ahead of me to take a leak. I walked in behind him and he had a shot and a beer and dealt with the crutches.
His hands were full and he needed them to take care of business. I helped him out.

Black Francis
Black Joe Lewis
Black Lace
Black Oak Arkansas
Black Sorrows-I love Joe.
Black Uhuru-At the Ritz in NYC and a couple of other gigs, amazing live act.
Blasters- It was a cold winter’s night in 1981 I believe and The Blasters were playing at The Ritz in NYC. I was wandering the streets alone looking for some music and I decided to check out this band.
With Lee Allen and Steve Berlin on saxophones, the Alvin Brothers up front, and the rest of the outfit, I became a fan for life.

Blue King Brown
Blue Oyster Cult
Blues Preachers
Blues Traveller
Bo Diddley-Saw him as part of The Festival Of Hope at Roosevelt Raceway in 1972.
Bo Dollis

Bob Dylan-So many times and the majority of those shows were very good. I recall Patti Smith warming up the Sydney Entertainment Centre for Bob. She played a song and said to the crowd, “Are you people in a coma out there?”
And I took my daughter Freya to see Bob at The State Theatre in Sydney in 2014. We had 3rd-row seats and Bob and the band were on fire. I asked her 1/2 way through the show if she was enjoying it. “Loving it! But I have no idea what he is singing!”.
4 years later in 2018, I was able to get two tickets to see Bob at the intimate Enmore Theatre. I asked my son George, who is a guitarist if he wanted to go. “I just want to make sure this is a gig you are interested in seeing?” He said, “It’s Bob Dylan!” Correct answer!
