24 Days Have Passed Since The Presidential Debate 2024
Remember the hanging chads? They were not a psychedelic rock band from Milwaukee circa 1967. Good band name though. Someone took it on a number of years ago after the ‘chads’ caused USA election chaos in 2000.
In 1988, Roy Saltman was the leading expert on computerised voting in America. The New York Times reported in 2023 when Saltman tranistioned to another role beyound the terra firma:
”In a 132-page federal report published in 1988 and distributed to thousands of local voting officials across the country, Mr. Saltman, an analyst working for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, cautioned that the bits of cardboard that voters were supposed to punch out from their ballots, known as chads, might remain partly attached (hence, hanging), or pressed back into the card when the votes were counted.
Either event would render the voter’s choice uncertain or, if the ballot appeared to be picking more than one candidate, invalid.
“It is recommended,” Mr. Saltman said flatly, “that the use of pre-scored punch card ballots be ended.”
It took 5 weeks for the Florida vote recount to enshrine George W. Bush as President and Al Gore’s exit from politics. Today, Al Gore is now a self-assured ‘recovering politician'. I am unsure where GWB is these days but you will not see or hear him backing Trump anywhere. He is an ‘old’ Republican in politics only. He is younger then both candidates.
There are no more chads, hanging or otherwise, but of course we went through another election mess in 2020 when Trump and his cabal told us the election was rigged, jigged, robbed, stolen and electronically and deceitfully given to Joe Biden. Rudy Giuliani told us the Dominion Voting Machines had links to antifa. False allegations were flying off the screen from FOX News and Dominion had had enough and they sued FOX.
The trial began on April 18 2023 and it was settled the same day out of court in favour of Dominion for 787 million dollars.
Easy money for Dominion. None of this stopped Trump saying the election was rigged and stolen. He still says it. He says alot of shit. Most of it lies or hyperbolic bullshit.
Here we sit about 10 weeks from Election Day 2024. 24 days ago I declared that Biden should move along and have a medical episode (to save face) and enshrine Kamala Harris as President. His legacy would be solid as he would be handing America the first black-female President. Soemthing America can get used to until she is elected by the people in November.
Hell, it is an Olympic Year, what a great year to be passing the torch.
If you listen to Trump, well, I am sorry for your brain and ears and soul. But if you do, you know that Biden has done nothing for the country since he was elected. Of course, if you read the FACTS, you know he has done quite a lot. There is only one set of facts. Truth does not come in multiple sizes and colours.

My belief is Biden should have stepped down by this weekend. We have Sunday left in America, Joe.

We need to make the Democratic Party functional and whole. We need to bring that family together. We need to do what the Republican Party only talks about. You can see it in their eyes that they do not believe what they say. You can hear it in the voice of wingnut Greene’s evil sounding speech that ‘unity’ is not what they are about.
Politics are not going to solve our worldly dilemmas, but they can make the world a much darker place. Electing the Conservative, right-wing, fascist party of Donald Trump will make Amercia far from great again.
Very, very far from great.
You know no one talks (much) about Trump’s gaffes because there is not enough newsprint or videotape or political analysts to analyse the nonsense.
