I woke up in a riverbed with a head like a gravestone
There were dogs all around me and a sound like a low drone
I wanted it more than anything to burst into flames
But the light wasn’t in me, no the light wasn’t in me

We sat up on the hill looked up at the night sky
Dead stars still shine for us, they shine for you and I

Hands, out of my hands It’s out of my hands

I will never forget you I’ll keep always with me
You said ‘the past isn’t dead yet, we can make a new history’

Hands, out of our hands It’s out of our hands

On the tip of your tongue is a brand new song
The brightness will come, yes the brightness will come

Hands, out of our hands It’s out of our hands

Lyrics - Andrew Tanner
Music - Andrew Tanner & The Silversound

That river in the winter
It could fuck me up
Crack my ribs, bust my lip
It could do enough
Were you staying in your own lane?
Were you passing on a steep grade?
Ah, ah-ah

Out driving past Minam
When the moon came up
I could see her, I had a fever
Lit by the troubles of love
I was asking a question, what did she say?
She was answering one from yesterday

Saying, “Fortune favours the bold
And the far away from home”
Ah, ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah

Jordan Valley, she would gladly
Stop in at Mrs Z’s
With the shepherds and the wreckers
To keep her company
Took a room at the old Basque hotel
It was a kind of prayer when her eyelids fell

One saying, “Fortune favours the bold
And the far away from home”
Ah, ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah

That river in the winter
It could fuck me up
Crack my ribs, bust my lip
It could do enough

There is no buzz on the streets. But if you pick up the nonstop frequency from the boxes in living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens across this fractured nation, the pictures and words are enough to make you realise we have all seen too much over the past two years. The numbers are telling us that the populace is about to give a big thumbs down to what this Orange Fascist Regime has wrought upon America.

There will be a change of horses in midstream. Blue may conquer Red. Trump may be hamstrung if the House and Senate are filled with, as he calls them, Dumocrats. He can focus more time on Washington renovations and ass. Male or female ass, he does not care.

When I first displayed this video above to my sister here in New York, she said, “That is NOT REAL!” How tired are you already of this AI question?

It’s hard to know where the truth lies when you look at the world through a transmitted window in your hand or on the wall. Face it: it probably isn’t there. Like most things, determining the truth takes work.

You won’t find the truth on this website (below)…just all the lies that have been counted coming out of his Big Mac Hole.

https://trumpliescounter.org/

Don’t talk to Todd Blanche about the truth; he is only the Attorney General of the USA. He is supposed to represent the UNITED STATES in legal matters. Instead, he is supporting this joke of a president, this whack-job, the swollen tick-like goblin sucking America dry. Is it just me, or does Todd Blanche not look a bit like Fred Flintstone? Unfortunately, Blanche is a slimy snake and the mouthpiece for this criminal in the White House.

Alaska voters appear unable to tell one Dan Sullivan from the other on the ballot. If the Democrat Dan Sullivan wins in Alaska, the Attorney General will say they were confused. How they prove confusion is beyond me.

January 6^th may have just been a dress rehearsal. Why should we sit here and think this mid-term election will end peacefully? Will Donald waddle into lame-duck status easily? Will there be some sort of attack, or will he just nuke Iran?

Or is that war over?

Things will not be as humorous as this infamous news conference in the parking lot of Four Seasons Landscaping where we found Rudy G, Sydney Powell and others saying the election was rigged.

We can expect more of this nonsense. Maybe we will even see Todd Blanche’s head leak like Rudy’s.

The American public is not happy with the illegal war, the price of everything from beef to gas, and let’s not forget that health care in this aging population is still a top priority. Adults aged 65 and older make up about 18.9% of the U.S. population, totalling roughly 64.6 million people.

The MAGA base exists, but it is eroding. You look at the rallies this dying fascist holds, and they are shrinking, and increasingly it looks like a rented crowd. With their chants of USA when a protester gets dragged away, It’s hard to understand what America they are chanting for when they don’t understand the 1^st Amendment. There are more interruptions in the rallies than ever before. The populace seems more pissed off.

Will America revolt if the votes are tampered with? We may find out if Americans are patriots or consumerism zombies.

Or will the vines of fascism continue to strangle the Constitution as the people of this land stand and watch, hypnotised and controlled by the technology and fear and never-ending news cycle of hate and half-truths.

Turn it off and empower yourself and your community. There is a way out, but it will take time, energy and motivation to make your country what it should be. There is a great divide in this land…let’s hope Americans can rebuild the bridges.

Fascism is in your White House.

It’s time for some deep cleaning. Not just a surface wipe; we are talking about a systemic enema.

Or your democracy is gone.

7 Days.

This is the end of Year One Of The Music Video Of The Day Project.

It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away
Since you been gone, I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues

'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby, where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor, guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said, "Girl you better try to have fun, no matter what you do"
But he's a fool

'Cause nothing compares,
nothing compares to you

All the flowers that you planted mama
In the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try

Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

Sitting on the 908
City sleeps while I’m awake,
But all of my senses lead me blue
All of the faces look like you
A million eyes on billboard frames
All crying out for what we crave
Oh but I’m begging for some truth

Out of the white noise
Into your bright eyes
Is there a feeling this could change?
Out of the darkness into the colour
You’ll see me again
Beating feet upon my faith
There’s pleading eyes that hold my gaze
Oh are we bound for better days?
Oh can you show me better ways?

Out of the white noise
Into your bright eyes
Is there a feeling this could change?
Out of the darkness into the colour
You’ll see me again
They sold a broken dream
All aboard the new machine I know what isn’t real
What isn’t real, what isn’t real
We must hold a steady stream on embers and an open seas
I run I run I run run I run
Out of the white noise
Into your bright eyes
Is there a feeling this could change?
Out of my darkness into the colour
Where you’ll see me again
You’ll see me

Drones drone on

Political ads do the same

Dictators dictate

Populations stare

Into their handheld supercomputers

Looking for direction

Reboot

Reboot

That button is not working

Revolt

Revolt

Revolt

If you say it 3 times, nothing happens

It takes movement

It takes soul

You must move your feet

Dancing on the graves of the techno-fascists will be joyful

Dancing on the graves of all fascists will be a party

Everybody dance now

Putin is not a humanitarian

Trump is a rapist

France shows the way once again

What dance moves will you make

Spire of an old pine
Holds rings of time
Like you were young once, fifteen
Record-lovin’ Elvis queen

The sweet reveries
The blurred memories
Are we bound to the earth realm forever?

Now you got a garden ‘round your bed
And nursin’ flowers, to you they tend
Though the dreams you once sang are through
They call you to them as they cradle you

The sweet reveries
The blurred mеmories
Are we bound to thе earth realm?
To return to the great helm
To the worms or the pyre forever

You’ve gone too far and you can’t turn back

70th birthday concert and death

On May 1, 2017, Hampton was honored by his friends at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta for his 70th birthday. Dubbed Hampton 70: A Celebration of Col. Bruce Hampton, it was an all-star concert featuring Widespread Panic members John Bell, Dave Schools, Duane Trucks, and Jimmy Herring; blues guitarist Tinsley Ellis, Peter Buck of R.E.M, steel guitarist Darick Campbell, saxophone player Karl Denson, Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, Jon Fishman of Phish, banjo player Rev. Jeff Mosier of Blueground Undergrass, guitarist Warren Haynes, Drivin N Cryin frontman Kevn Kinney, Atlanta jazz-staple Johnny Knapp, Chuck Leavell; Athens rock-troubadour T. Hardy Morris, 13-year-old guitar prodigy Brandon Niederauer, slide guitarist Derek Trucks and blues singer Susan Tedeschi of the Tedeschi Trucks Band, John Popper of Blues Traveler, funk bassist Kevin Scott, keyboardist Matt Slocum, Denny Walley of Frank Zappa fame, gypsy-metal guitarist Emil Werstler, Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers, and MLB pitcher Jake Peavy. Billy Bob Thornton was scheduled to appear but did not attend.^[17] The event was produced by Good Times Productions with the proceeds benefiting the Fox Theatre Institute and other musician-focused charities.

During the encore performance of the show, Hampton suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed on stage. Onlookers and his fellow musicians initially either did not notice that Hampton had collapsed, or thought it was a ruse due to his history of falling down onstage during performances and other practical jokes. As a result, Hampton lay face down at Niederauer’s feet, his left arm draped over a stage monitor, as Niederauer soloed on “Turn on Your Love Light“. The band played for several minutes before Hampton was taken offstage; he died shortly thereafter at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta.

WSP in 2020 and in 2026…would love to see more of these guys….

In the time of confession
In the hour of the storm
When the last one standing
Is a creature of scorn
In a howling wasteland
In a smoke filled room
I was looking for answers
For what I already knew

I watch you run away
Oh, please don’t run away
There’s nothing left to say
On desolation day

Gonna drive through the city
With the headlights off
Gonna run ‘til I’m empty
To the Rubicon
‘Til I can’t remember
The moon in my arms
With your blood red roses
And your false alarms

Don’t you run away
Oh, please don’t run away
There’s nothing left to say
On desolation day

Songwriter-Beck

Every story has to be about something, I suppose
This one says I lose my head
As the feeling starts to grow you know?
I can feel love thumping at the doors of my heart

Feel love thump as it tears me apart
Feel love pump as the worrying starts
I can feel love thumping
At the doors of my heart again
At the doors of my heart again
I can feel love thump
Bom-bom be bom-bom

Everybody needs someone they can cling to
Now and then
No more defense, no more pretense
No reasons to explain it

You can feel love thumping at the doors of your heart
Feel love thump as it tears you apart
Feel blood pump as the worrying starts
You can feel love thumping
At the doors of your heart again
At the doors of your heart again
You can feel love thump
Bom-bom be bom-bom

This one your unity rocker, lord
Stick him in your living room
And turn off the light eh
Bet you wouldn’t know if he was black or white
Boy!
Say what’s the use in fighting?
Man say, I say you shouldn’t really fight

Take him to a discoteque
Take him to a pub eh!
Take him to a blues and then
You play him rub a dub eh
Say you shouldn’t really fight, man say
Say you shouldn’t really fight

Each and every day I walk through the streets
And I see man and man war and kill each other
Because you are black or you are white
So what’s the use in fighting?
War all right

Because it’s strictly love and unity
We a deal in today
And that we will never throw away
We will never throw away
War all right

I say just because you’re brown
You no fe g’wan like a clown
Just because you’re white
You no fe broke a likkle fight eh
Say what’s the use in fighting boy
I say you shouldn’t really fight

Every time it happens, seem to act a little touched
In this at least, you’re just like me
I think we think too much
Why can’t we just

Feel love thumping at the doors of our heart
Feel love thump as it tears us apart
Feel blood pump as the worrying starts

I can feel love thumping
At the doors of my heart again
At the doors of my heart again
I can feel love thump
Bom-bom be bom-bom
Bom-bom be bom-bom

I can feel love thump
Bom-bom be bom-bom
At the doors of my heart again

Dear Paul,

How is everything going? You have been in the land of America for just over 3 weeks. California looks like a lot of fun, and I am sure you got some time with Nello and his crew. Golden Gate Park looked so green and inviting, filled with the music-loving tribe.

You got to see Sturgill Simpson in New York, and I can see you dancing all night at that gig. Did you walk through Central Park? Or did you just hang in Brooklyn?

How’s the family? Did you stay at your childhood home in New Hyde Park? Were there ghosts? How is your brother, Bob? Is he lonely or just alone? I can’t imagine what it would be like to stay in the place where I spent the first 20 years of my life. If the walls could talk…or maybe they did? This isn’t usually the corner I occupy.

But the main part of your journey was to spend time with your brother-in-law RIck? How is he dealing with Parkinson’s? More importantly, how are Rick and Ginger coping with the changes in their relationship and life because of illness? We all know we’ll deal with that at some point in our lives. Illness and death. They’re bound to happen, and we hope we can remain strong, vital, and joyful in the face of life’s reality.

Please send them my love, care and hugs. They are a lovely couple of human beings.

Oh shit, I almost forgot: how is Jay doing in Canberra? Is he recovering from the open-heart surgery? He went in with some other health issues, so I do hope it was a success and that the recovery goes well. Send my love to Pauline, Jeff and Greta when you get a chance. I am sure he is getting the drugs now, but I should not joke, you know me.

How is Tina? She had some burning arm issue that you had told me about that might be connected to her neck or some pinched nerve. I do hope she is feeling much better. She is truly a sparkle. You must miss her a bunch. You two are so good together, a bundle of laughter and care.

Things are good in here. I’ve been a bit caught up in everything that is going on around me. Writing has been hard with so much input, but I take it all in and know it will come out another time. You know what it is like, as you say: more content.

Joy, sadness, tiredness, and many memories surface here. All these people and places and things that I digest and mull over. It’s a beautiful thing really, this life we live. I am glad I can process it this way.

Hope you have coffee soon, and that you don’t bury me in mid-term and global politics too soon.

Talk to you later….

A Lonely Corner Of Your Mind

If you don’t know what love is
It’s a hard way to go
If you’re born in the darkness
With the night in your soul
If you don’t heed the sorrow
You won’t hear the call
If you don’t know what love is
You don’t know nothing at all-Beck

Johnny Blue Skies is one badass dude. He can rock, he can funk, he can country and he can turn your ears to toast and make you grin and dance like an idiot. Looking around at the crowd at the Barclays Center, you could tell most of the crowd knew what they were in for. Disco ball, make American fuck again rock and roll and some country tunes tossed in for good measure.

Rock and roll is not served up like this much in the 21st Century. There were some lights, some disco balls but the focus was this band of self-proclaimed neurodivergent motherfuckers. Let’s have the band take a bow:

• Sturgill Simpson (Johnny Blue Skies) – Lead vocals and guitar

• Laur Joamets – Lead guitar

• Robbie Crowell – Keyboards and saxophone

• Kevin Black – Bass

• Miles Miller – Drums and backing vocals

Johnny took us on a rock and roll road trip that few will match in 2026. Do you know the song Ramble Tamble by Creedence Clearwater Revival? Go listen to it. That is an example of the type of music this band can produce and they did a remarkable cover of it and I do believe that is when I started dancing. The basketball-court pitch of this basketball arena made me feel like I was flying.

Welcome To Earth (Pollywog) came on early and made me weep because of the estrangement I have with my eldest. These words broke me for a moment.

Hello, my son
Welcome to earth
You may not be my last
But you'll always be my first

The funky way that song ends was truly amazing and mostly from that point on it was time to party. Everyone Is Welcome, sounding like a political disco country 45 anthem was followed by Make America Fuk Again.

Been learning lesson and gettin' bubbles bustin'
Learning how to turn ADHD into hyper-focus
Getting my heart broke by people I trusted
Weaponizing my autism to shit out an opus
Been coming to terms with my obsolescence
Taking ketamine to kill my depression
Beats being fogged out on antidepressants
Wait, that reminds me, time to book another session

Wanna make America fuck again (Fuck again)
Wanna make America wanna love again
Wanna see the ocean every now and then
Well, wanna start a revolution, watch it begin

After that masterpiece, we still had 20 more songs to go. Laur and Johnny trading guitar licks was a thrill a minute, the bass and drums were vibrating Atlantic Avenue and Robbie Crowell on keyboards and saxophone filled in the spaces where more noise was required.

Noise, some of the best live noise I have heard in all my years of concert-going. This was a time warp back to 1973 when the stage was just musicians and instruments and a play-all-night attitude.

There are only 5 more shows on this tour; I would hop on a boat or a jet and get your ass down there and see them. Time is running out. I find it very interesting he is completing the tour before the mid-terms. Does he want to go hide?

We all need a night like this in our lives. Exhausting, exhilarating, and you are left with ringing ears and a shit-eating grin that will live in your soul for some time.

But you may not even know who Sturgill Simpson is. He is not a household name. But he is a genius and a master at what he does.
Make up your own mind….listen to this playist of the songs he did on this night, Bob Weir’s Birthday. I was surprised he did not tip his hat with a Grateful Dead song but if you know the story, him playing for 3 hours was all Bobby needed to hear up in rock and roll heaven.

You might catch a little bit of that magic just by digging deep into his music.

All I know is I cannot stop listening to this playlist and reliving a bit of the magic.

The playlist of songs is 2 hrs and 15 minutes and the show was 3 hours….you get the idea.

“This is our third year in a row that we’ve done a big ol’ lap around the United States. We’re gonna go ahead and warn you now, we are gonna take a little break after this one and recharge the batteries and starve your asses. Y’all chose wisely.”-JBS

Sturgill has been a rebel forever. He stands his ground. In 2017, he won a Grammy for Best Country Album (A Sailor’s Guide To Earth) but the Country Music Awards shunned him with no nomination. Here is what he had to say as he busked outside the CMA Awards:
“Nobody needs a machine gun, and that’s comin’ from a guy who owns quite a few guns,” he said. “Gay people should have the right to be happy and live their life any way they want to and get married if they want to without fear of getting drug down the road behind a pickup truck. Black people are probably tired of getting shot in the streets and being enslaved by the industrial prison complex. Hegemony and fascism is alive and well in Nashville, Tennessee. Thank you very much.”

And below is the QOBUZ link….switch to QOBUZ it’s better!

And since it was Bobby’s birthday on the day…this goes out to BW and BA….party on my friends.

[Spoken Intro: Ray Taliaferro]
America is waiting for a message of some sort or another

[Spoken Refrain: Ray Taliaferro]
Takin' it again (Again, again)
Takin' it again
Well now, no-no now, we ought to be mad at the government
Not mad at the people
Takin' it again (Again, again)
Takin' it again
I mean, yeah, well, wha-what are you gonna do?
America is waiting for a message of some sort or another

[Spoken Refrain: Ray Taliaferro]
No will whatsoever, no will whatsoever
Absolutely no honor
No will whatsoever, no will whatsoever
Absolutely no integrity
No will whatsoever, no will whatsoever
I haven't seen any-any-any citizen over there
Stand up and say "Hey, just a second"
No will whatsoever, no will whatsoever
I mean, yeah, well, wha-what are you gonna do?
America is waiting for a message of some sort or another

Songwriters: David Byrne/Brian Eno

This song was removed from the album after religious groups made some noise.

Ali Akhbar…

Being in town for Nello’s Birthday pre-celebration and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass was a very special start to my intentional trip to my homeland. I had not been to this FREE 3-day festival in 23 years and was very excited about the line-up. San Francisco turned on the magical October weather, and hundreds of thousands of us wandered from stage to stage. There were many acts I wanted to see, but I was really looking forward to The Third Mind…but they were not on until Day 3.

Elizabeth Cotten (above) and Steve Poltz (below) during the Todd Snider Rules tribute.

Golden Gate Park was filled with music fans and people adorned with tie-dye and Dead Shirts. The smell of marijuana and the crowd with gummy eyes and tequila breath danced and smiled and sang along. There were many highlights.

Emmylou Harris came out with Buddy Miller, Los Lobos did a fabulous festival set that included Bertha, and Steve Poltz brought laughter and joy wherever he turned up. You always have to choose between seeing someone new and someone you love. For example, I had to pick between Marty Stuart and Los Lobos and I went for the band from LA.

Along with the choices, there are always acts that surprise you. Sierra Hull, a virtuoso on the mandolin, was someone I wanted to check out live. Her records did little for me but she and her band were the pick of the litter on Day 1. I checked in later with my HSB entourage and they all agreed her set was amazing.

There was a tribute to the late great Todd Snider who left for parts unknown in the last year. There was some great music provided by John Cragie, Aaron Lee Tasjan, the Rugburns and Steve Poltz. We all shed a tear and a laugh and felt Todd with us as we danced barefoot in Golden Gate Park.

Tyler Ballgame and his band I had heard on record but live they produced a lively sound and Ballgame’s voice was unique and carried through the park. I also got to see Molly Tuttle for awhile and although I love her playing I found her set/songs a bit too poppy for my ears. I wandered over to Lukas Nelson and he closed down Day 1 for me.

Each day you wander from stage to stage and I covered 10 kilometres plus each day. On Day 2, I was on my own as all of my mates decided to rest and go to see Billy Strings that Saturday night. It was the hottest day of the festival and I arrived early to get in as much as I could before I melted. Laurie Lewis and The Right Hands kicked it off with some bluegrass and then Aaron Lee Tasjan rocked out with his band.

Tasjan has several records out that go from country to pop, and if I had to compare him to someone, he sort of reminds me of a young Nick Lowe in style and grace. Tasjan at 42 has been around and self taught himself on guitar at 11, played with Peter Yarrow at 16 and was also in the New York Dolls for a moment.

The sun was high in the sky when Mavis Staples hit The Banjo Stage. It was hot and I was not near any shade. She sounded as marvelous as ever doing covers of Tom Waits (Chicago) and Kevin Morby (Beautiful Stranger) mixed with Staple favourites like Respect Yourself, Freedom Highway and City In the Sky.

Shade was calling me and I also needed to get Hot…as in Hot Tuna. Jack and Jorma were joined on stage by Ross Garren (harmonica) and Justin Guip (drums). Sea Child, Hesitation Blues, Been So Long and Blind Willie Johnson’s Keep Your Lamps Trimmed And Burning were excellent as I soaked up the cooler grassy area. Of course we were here in San Francisco so the boys pulled out two classic Jefferson Airplane songs to bring things full circle. (Good Shepard and Trial By Fire).

It had been a long day and I could only fit in one more act before I had to make my way to the ferry back to San Rafael to avoid a 100 Aussie Dollar Cab ride. Buddy Miller never comes to Australia and he is one of my favourite country songwriters. et.

Buddy kicked off with the Tom T Hall song, That’s How I Got To Memphis and Olivia Wolff joined him for Gasoline and Matches a song he recorded with his wife Julie. Things were about to go up a notch as Emmylou Harris came out and did a duet of Love Hurts.

Buddy busted out Somewhere Trouble Don’t Go from his 1999 Cruel Moon release and some long haired senior citizen sauntered out to play harmonica. He’s 78 years old but he is a rock and roll icon and his name is Robert Plant. Mr. Plant was on stage for the last five songs and Elizabeth Cook and Miko Marks also joined in on vocals.

The songs were:
Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down

Angel Dance (Los Lobos Cover)

Fortune Teller

Rich Woman

Steve Earle and The Dukes and Old Crow Medicine Show were shutting Day 2 down on 2 seperate stages but this old cowboy had to roll on home.

We were all relaxed and festival-weary by Day 3. Some bluegrass by Dry Branch eased us into the day as beer was sipped and gummies digested. The early highlight was a Steve Poltz set. He is one bright ray of sunshine and positive energy and his stories made the ground shake with laughter.

Los Lobos and Steve Poltz brought on the Grateful Dead moments.

Ending with the Grateful Dead’s Wharf Rat was heartwarming as the crowd sang along. Poltz should be wrapped in cotton so nothing ever happens to him. He is a one-off storytelling folk-singing maniac.

The Darrel Scott String Band with Rob Ickes was bluegrass heaven and The Tribute To Joe Ely with The Flatlanders gave us that band with Emmylou and Dave Alvin and others. I was itching for the band that was going to close it down for me. The Third Mind was the one group I was not going to miss.

These songs have been with me for decades. To hear them here in San Francisco was something I will never-ever forget.

The Third Mind is:
Jesse Sykes (vocals, guitar),
Dave Alvin (guitar),
Victor Krummenacher (bass),
Michael Jerome (drums),
Mark Karan (guitar),
Willie Aron (keyboards).

Setlist:
Sally Go 'Round the Roses. (The Jaynetts cover)
Pretty Polly [traditional]
Darkness, Darkness. (The Youngbloods cover)
The Creator Has a Master Plan. (Pharoah Sanders cover)
Morning Dew. (Bonnie Dobson cover)
East-West. (The Paul Butterfield Blues Band cover)

Someone just uploaded their set in the last 4 hours….so here it is. This was the same stage they played their debut gig 3 years prior. Magic.

We all left after that huge dance and Mexican food was on the horizon.

Bedraggled, slightly stoned but filled up with the love, music and beauty of this very special 3-day gathering the mission was completed.

And I missed Welch and Rawlings, My Morning Jacket and Steve Earle….but you know, I have seen them all before.

I’m extremely hardcore
You know my mind is a storm
And I would not even eat
If I could get my work done
I’ve been burning the candle
Burning at both ends
And I’ve been killing those demons
For a long, long time

Let me sell you a dream
Baby, that’s what I do
How the future could be
I could make it come true

Now I’m a running human
An imitation mode
I’m a chill normal dude
I just have to keep going
Let me sell you a dream
Do you think I’m insane
I eat a glass sandwich
I, I eat ‘em every day

Algorithmic distillation
Multi-planet exploration
I’m a human emulation
I’m a total simulation

Let me sell you a dream
Baby, that’s what I do
How the future could be
I could make it come true

You don’t wanna be mean
You know the problem
The problem is empathy

Let me sell you a dream
My daddy used to tell me
Let me sell you a dream
Tell me I was no good
Let me sell you a dream
I said, “Hey, now”
Let me sell you a dream
What’s a poor boy to do?
Let me sell you a dream

When the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Yeah

When the music's over
When the music's over
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights

When the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end

I got some friends inside

The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends, "Alive!" she cried
Waiting for me outside

Before I sink into the big sleep
I want to hear
I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly

Come back, baby
Back into my arm
We're gettin' tired of hangin' around
Waitin' around with our heads to the ground
I hear a very gentle sound

Very near yet, very far
Very soft, yeah, very clear
Come today, come today

What have they done to the earth, yeah?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

I hear a very gentle sound
With your ear down to the ground
We want the world and we want it
We want the world and we want it
Now
Now?
Now!

Persian night babe
See the light, babe
Save us
Jesus
Save us

So when the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights

Well, the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end
